We bought this pan in Germany while living there and brought it back to the states with us - it's so solid and heavy it kicked up the baggage weight! But this is my partner's absolutely favorite sautee pan - and we have quite a variety of good quality tri-ply and old fashioned cast iron.
The finish and cooking surface are the very definition of German craftsmanship and just a little seasoning goes a long way - like the 1st reviewer says - it's not "non-stick" and we're happy for that since ALL the non-stick pans are **very** toxic and not a healthy choice -
this is a kind of baked ceramic finish and just the best to cook with and healthy to boot. A piece of cookware that will last for **years** no problem.
